The Semi-Colon

This is for ALL STUDENTS.

Re-write the following THREE sentences using a semi-colon. 

EXAMPLE: The Jets and Patriots play this afternoon.  The winner of the game plays in the AFC Championship game.

The Jets and Patriots play this afternoon; the winner of the game plays in the AFC Championship game.

1.  We have a three day weekend.  If it snows on Tuesday, we may have a four day weekend.
2.  More students need to post to our blog.  It's the right thing to do.
3. We have a quarterly vocabulary test on Thursday.  It will count as 25% of your vocabulary grade for the 2nd quarter.

Remember to write your name and period I teach you; it helps me keep track!
