The following phrases are oxymorons. Please explain how and why the words contradict themselves.
Example: Big Baby - Big is the opposite of baby - which generally refers to something small...obviously this is referring to someone who is "behaving" like a baby.

1. Clearly Confused is an oxymoron because when you are confused you are unclear rather then clear.

3. Exact Opposite is an oxymoron because opposite is the different side of something and it contradicts with exact because exact is being accurately the same.
4. Growing Small is an oxymoron because when you grow you are becoming bigger which contradicts with small.
5. Random Pattern is an oxymoron because random is out of no arrangement when a pattern is based on an arrangement.
And isn't Glen Davis' nickname Big Baby?
1. Clearly Confused-Clearly means understandably, and confused means not getting something.

3. Exact Opposite-Exact is the definite meaning and opposite is an antonym.
4. Growing Small-Growing means getting bigger while small is the opposite of big.
5. Random Pattern-Random is not controllable and a pattern is arranged in a certain way.

Controlled Chaos is an oxymoron because: Controlled means you have things stabled in order and Chaos means out of place and messed up.
Exact Opposite is an oxymoron because: Exact mean you have it accurate and opposite is completely different then it has to be.
Growing Small is an oxymoron because: Growing means to increase in size in getting bigger and Small is something tiny and may not be important.
Random pattern is an oxymoron because: Random means order; all over the place and Pattern is in order and in quantity.
