Jennings never knew until he was deposited. Comparing it to Ponyboy's "friendship senerio" when both Ponyboy's parents died and relied on his brothers and a gang of "greasers." Both Jennings and Ponyboy have experienced many heartbreaking events during their childhood. Whenever they felt alone, they always had a friend by their side for comfort and affection. Even if it was a friend that was brutely injured due to a fire, or maybe even a stuffed dog, that one person or thing was close to their hearts. People that are close to you will be there for you and get you through that situation and guide you the rest of the way. That tought me that you should never leave your friend alone in a time of need and expect them to find comfort in only themselves.

On the other hand, Ponyboy lost both of his parents in a car accident. Jennings almost lost his mother when she fell down the stairs attempting to fix an antenna. Their struggles are difficult, but they are managing to fight through it!!
ReplyDeleteBoth characters have problems with their parents. Ponyboy lost his mother and father in a car accident and this has clearly affected him and continues to upset him. He even has reoccurring dreams about the accident. Jennings also has parental issues. His mother is always sick and his father "died" a long time ago. Both Jennings and Ponyboy must face these struggles everyday.
ReplyDeletePonyboy and Jennings both have difficult struggles with their lives. Both boys have lost their fathers and must rely on different people to raise them. Jennings does have a mother, but she is always sick and therefore she dropped him off in an orphanage. Pony's mother died with his father in a car accident and is being raised by his two older brothers - Darry and Soda Pop.
ReplyDeleteponyboy and jennings both struggle in life alot here are some things that they have to struggle with.Both don't have any parents.Also pony runs away and jennings was abondoned in an orphanage.pony has to be raised by his brothers an jennings by an oranage owner and thats their struggles. ReplyDeletePonyboy and Jeannings are similar with their struggles in life alot .For example,they both don't have a father.Jennings has to rely on his mother to be raised but,do to her being sick Jeannings is now at a foster home,and nuns are taking care of him.On the other hand,Ponyboy has to rely on his brothers and friends to be raised because both of his parents are gone.Darry is now like a father to Ponyboy, and Darry has to face the struggles in raising his brothers.Pony's friends are like family to him and now Pony has to face the fact that his two friends,Johnny and Dally are death.I feel very "apologetic" for these two boys,Ponyboy and Jeannings.

Ponyboy and Jennings are similar because thier always in some kind of problems. Ponyboy and Jennings both have brother. Ponyboy and Jennings have someone in their family that has past away.They both got bullied ponyboy got bullied by the socs and Jennings got bullied by Butch .
ReplyDeleteJennings and Ponyboy lives are alike because Ponyboy he had no parents there with him to support him through his life.Although he had his brotherss and the members of the gang supporting him, they still weren't the best example for him. Jennings is now 9 year old kid who lived his young years in foster homes because of his mom. If it weren't for the people he met along the way then he would have been lost in the world. Still a kid his age needs someone to guide him to lead him into good. Teaching him the good things and telling him the bad. These 2 kids had to live there lifes on there own in a young age.
