The other book is called Billy Baker's dog waont stay buried by M.T Coffin. The protagonist of this story is Billy, Billy'mom,Hannah,Howard,and Dr.Holmes.The conflict of this story is that Billy's family wasnt perfect his father had died and Bill and his mother were left with a couple of money left so they both had to frecently move inoder to live in a home. then one christmas right after there father death Bill's mother had gotten him a puppy names Howard. But after years had past Howard had gotten more aggressive agianst there nieghbor Mr. Calhoun. He would frecently taunt at Haword intil he had attacked him after that incident Mr.Calhoun had stritly said to Billy to put down Howard or he would sue them and Billy's mother tolled Billy that he had to do it because they had no more money to use so they puit down Howard. a night later Mr.Calhoun was missing and a police questioned Billy and said to him to join their church but Billy refused.After a week billy had snickout and a went to Howard resting place and saw that he was getting out of his grave and other pets were also to after a hour later the pets are attacking the people who treated them badly and Billy,Hannah,Billy's mother,and Dr.Holmes are trying to figure out how to get the dead pets back to their grave site.

The title of the book I'm reading is called,"Sweet sixteen" by Kate Brian. The protagonist is named Teagan. Teagan is a 15 year old girl who doesn't appreciate anything that anyone does for her,she brags about every thing because acording to her everyone absoulutly LOVES her she's to busy bieng perfect to see that people don't like her for who she is they like her for all the money she has. Untill the day of her sweet sixteen when everything was supose to be perfect,her entire world just crashes her father doesn't permitt wine at her party. All of the guests are under age so its for the best not to have wine there. She runns out of the party to go in search for wine when she trips(that cluts) and she comest in touch with a "ghost" or her conchance. The "ghost" takes her to the past and to the future to make her take of her blind fold and see who are the people who truly adore her and who are the people who just use her to get with her money. It turns out her boyfriend is cheating on her with her best friend and her best friend does give a donut about her. Her father is trying to do all he can for his little "princess" but that princess finally figures that out. What will ahpen next willh teagan will she thank all those good people for there kindness or yell at those who wanted her money *guess ill have to keep reading*

So far in the book she has had a daughter and must decide whats more important, her daughter or the saftey of others. She knows that her daughter is dangerous being haf vampire but doesn't want to except it and kill her daughter. Once her daughter is stronger than her she can't do anything to stop her.

Then she finds a marshmellow which turns her big and she gets the key and then she drinks the liquid again which turns her very tiny. She forgets the key again but this time she falls into a pond and finds a mouse which helps her to get out the pond .Then she gets to meet all this animals while being wet.

ReplyDeleteThe title of my book that I'm reading is called ,"Three Days" by Donna Jo Napoli.The protagonist in this story is Jackie and her father and it's Jackie's summer vacation.She is spending time with her father during her vacation.Jackie's dad is a business man and he gets to go to Italy and he wants to bring Jackie along.They both go to a lot of places in Italy and have lots of fun.Jackie, a eleven year old girl has a strong relationship with her father.What ever Jackie wants her father will get it, most of the time.Jackie's dad lets Jackie make the decisions.For example,Jackie and her father went to a restaurant and the waiter asked if she wants some whine and her dad just said,"well do you want some".One day Jackie and her father saw some baby rabbits and after they were done watching them,Jackie and her father decided to go back to their hotel.On the ride to their hotel,Jackie asked her father if she could go back and see those rabbits again some time but her father did not answer.Instead he drove to the side of the road and stopped the car and the car moter was dead.Jackie started to panic and saw that her dad was in coma she tried to get help but their was no use all the cars on the road were comming to fast.She was not able to communicate with others because she does not know Italian but still this girl did everything she could do to get help for her dad,it was no use.What will Jackie do now ? The title of my book is called The Seventh Tower and the author is Garth Nix. The Protagonist of the book is a thirteen year old named Tal. The conflict of the book is that Tal's dad has gone missing and no one knows were he is. To add to the problem Tal's mom is deathly sick and his 8 year old brother(Gref) has been kidnapped by a Spiritshadow(a creature that can morph into any creature). Tal needs to find his dad, cure his mom, and find Gref before the time runs out and his mother dies.

My current independent reading book for the second quarter is Artemis Fowl which is by Eoin Colfer. The main protagonist is the title! It's Artemis Fowl. He is a criminal mastermind (I know he is a criminal mastermind and that he should be the antagonist, since I haven't finished the book yet, I am not sure). He is guarded by his tough Butler which is named, well Butler! He is considered a very smart guy and his ideas baffled scientists and historians all over the world. The greatest conflict in the book so far is the fact that Artemis and Butler Took pictures of all the pages of a tiny book from a sprite (a kind of magical creature). Artemis then injected a chemical on the sprite that made it "fall asleep." The book contained information of a world underground where magical creatures (elfs, fairies, gnomes, etc) live and thrive to escape from human interaction, communication or war. Because of this discovery, I think that what's going to happen is that Artemis exposes this world and ends up almost destroying it.

His major conflict in the story is how he eeds to get his friend to basically the fountain of youth, but the trip is long and very treacherous. Another conflict is how Nate doesn't know what he's going to be when he becomes a adult. He's stuck between a scholar and sky pirate.

The book I am reading for independent reading for this quarter is called Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. The protagonist is Oliver Twist. He is a young 9-year-old orphan. As the story progresses, he grows in age. Both of his parents have died and he is all alone in a hospital, as the story begins. The beadle (church policeman) came and gave Oliver a visit. He named him, and decided he should be sent to live in a parish, along with other orphan boys. His main conflict is being sold into slavery. Most boys in that time were sent to be made slaves of at his age. When he was sold, he had taken part in his Master's job. He worked at a funeral home. The master's wife does not take a liking to him, but feeds him anyway. Later on, Oliver Twist almost murdered a boy in his master's home. He was punished brutally by the wife, being scratched and beaten, but it was believed by most everyone that he deserved it. The beadle came to sort out this incident. He inferred that feeding the boy meat was not a suitable idea. The master's wife was to feed him gruel (porridge), and only gruel. Oliver was in a state of regret, and depression. Not wanting to confront anyone. Therefore, he hid in his room for the rest of the day.

The protagonist and narrator is a teenage girl named Matilda Cook who lives with her hardworking mother, tough grandfather, and their ex- slave chef, Eliza, in the apartment on top of their family coffeehouse in Philadelphia. Matilda "Mattie" Cook is a 14 year old girl with big dreams for her family's coffeehouse. After her father's death, she hoped to build an extention to the family coffeehouse. But when the Yellow Fever Epidemic outbreaks during the long hot summer, people flee the city or die. Matilda realizes she needs to focus on something else now fighting for her own life and the lives of her loved ones. Her mom gets sick,and she and her grandfather are left to take care for themselves,with no hope that her mother will survive since this plague was deadly. Therefore, she is forced to find a way to survive.

Percy is a teenage boy set on a journey to Mount Olympus to return Zeus' lightning bolt, but he didnt go alone. He had his friends Annabeth and Grover come along with him. Along the way he has many great battles against minotaurs and even Medusa. In a few days Percy will reach Mount Olympus and see his father once again.

Jason confused when he wakes up on a bus heading to the Grand Canyon with kids from the Wilderness school. He can't recall anything or about the girl he was holding hands next to, but she claims to be his girlfriend. What scares him the most is the feeling that shouldn't be there.
Piper's dad is a famous actor, that doesn't allow Piper to go anywhere near paparazzi which includes going near her dad, although her father wants to protect Piper, she just doesn't understand, so she steal for the attention. She claims that all she does is ask, yet how can any believe that a dealer would give an underage kid a BMW? Piper is just as confused, to top is off, why is her boyfriend acting like their complete strangers?
Leo has amazing talents with machinery, give him pipe cleaner and a couple of rubber bands he could make a helicopter, that flies. But, as a kid, Leo learned to hide pain or confusion, with humor.Like when he finds out his best friend has amnesia.
When an incident happen at grand canyon, their field trip is cut short, as Annabeth (daughter of Athena) takes them to Camp Half-Blood. This is where they discover that Hera (Goddess of Marriage) is captured. Now Jason, Piper, and Leo are off on their first dangerous adventure. Well, is Jason's first quest, Right?

The book i am reading for independent reading is called Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. The protagonist of the book is Katniss Everdeen. Some in her town confuse her ass Catnip. In the first book, The Hunger Games, she has won the hunger games with her fellow District 12 tribute Peeta Mellark. In the Hunger Games she needed to pretend to love Peeta in order to survive the deadly game. But throughout all the Districts they became angry and felt like fool for believing in the lie dat Katniss and Peeta attempted. So far in Catching Fire Katnis has one chance to make all 12 Districts believe in their lie. If Katniss fails to do so the President of Panem will have to execute her.

The book I am reading for independent reading is called " Runaway " by Wendelin Van Draanen. The protagonist of the story is a girl named Holly. Holly's greatest conflict in her life is to survive. Holly's mom died of over dose and drugs. Holly's dad was murdered by a random man passing by. Since her dad has past away Holly and her mom haven't really had a home. They would usually be kicked out because they couldn't pay rent. Since Holly was a little girl her and her mom had been broke and Holly would need to steal things to survive. Holly didn't know her mom was a drunk or druggie and anytime she had stole something her mom would say that now she has money to pay the 'doctor'(drug dealer). So now she is being sent to homes with abusive owners like the carpenters from the book " They Caged the Animals at Night". They would lock her in a room with out any food and make her drink toilet water. So she had runaway one day with a journal to only go to in a need of help. The journal was suppose to be for school to show how you feel, but it symbolized a sense of hope to Holly.

Little Women by Louisa May Alcott is the novel I am currently reading. The protagonist of the novel is Josephine March. Josephine is the extroverted, second of four children. I admire her strong heart and her bold personality. This character knows who she is and what she wants and would never let anyone get in the way of that. Jo will not allow herself to become the conventional woman of her day, instead she focuses on her passion for writing. All of the the March sisters struggle to improve their various flaws as they grow into adults.

The problem in the novel is she was invited to a party.She went with her boyfriend Daniel & Amanda. At the party with her friends, Amanda ,Amanda and more talked to their friend Peter who died 2 years before.While they were talking Shari jumps up screaming, she runs into the next room and onto the balcony. A couple minutes later Amanda gets up, runs to the same room and into the bathroom.Daniel walks out onto the balcony and finds Shari on the street below splattered. Her head was damaged really bad. After, this they didn't know what had really happened to shari & who did this to her.
