As we talked about in class, today was the 30th anniversary of John Lennon's death. Do a little research and write a short paragraph sharing something you learned about him (use the television, radio, internet, etc. as a source). Try to be unique and avoid writing the same things other people are using in their posts.

Well the thing I learned about John Lennon is that he was a singer. John Lennon played in a band called the Beatles. He's a peace and loving guy that we will remember....always!!!!!......R.I.P John Lennon!

Today is the 30th anniversary of John Lennon's death. I learned that he died because a crazed fan shot him twice in the back and that he was part of the band "The Beatles." John Lennon was a great musician and had a great music career. - Shawn Thomas pd. 7
ReplyDeleteWell I learned that John Lennon was part of the Beatles and thenthey broke apart. He was a man a lovin man that wanted peace among us. He is also important because he was on the news and the Knicks (NEW YORK basktball team) will be playing his music in honor of him. He was murdered bcause some stupid, luppy guy shoot him after he gave him an autograpgh album of his music. We are celebrating th 30th anniversary. I know tht people wish he was still alive. Even though I never meet or heard of John Lennon till ths day he is a hero to many of us.

He wanted world peace and he wrote a lot of songs that involve peace and love once he broke up with The Beatles. I learned that once he left The Beatles he has claimed that he never missed them what so ever. But Paul McCartney, John Lonnon's partner from The Beatles, KNOWS that he does. John was also known as the greatest Beatle. Lonnon's best world peace songs i believe is "Imagine" and "Give Peace A Chance."

John Lennon was born in October 9,1940. When he was four years old his parent's separated and he lived with his aunt Mimi. John's mother taught him how to play the banjo and the piano and purchased his first guitar. In July 1955 John' mother Julia's death was the most traumatic event in his life. He enjoyed geting in trouble and when he was a young adult, he also enjoyed drawind grotesque figures and cripples. John was named after the school "Quarry men". He wanted world peace and he wrote a songs that involved peace and love once he brok up with the Beatles.

Well its 12:00 and i need to go to sleep so my post wont be as good as the other ones.all i can say about Jhon Lennon is he was a part of the beatles.He did many duets with Paul Mcartney.He had a big impact on his fans(well, except the one who shot him).He inspires generations of people.There was also so a big tribute to him today.People were spilling across the border of strawberry feild(If thats is it's name cause I cnt remember).People instead of mourning , are singing and embracing them selves not to feel sad but feel happy about his impact on the world.What other popstar would you see getting people to sing land get together like that? He came from the United Kingdom and made a band with some of his friends called the Beatles.John wanted world peace and wrote many songs about it as well. He wanted everyone to love each other and to fight for peace. sadly his wish never came true.
