Fredrick Douglass should be considered one of the eminent human rights activists. For instance, his acts made people think twice about slavery of his story. One example is that he didn't now his birth date or his actually father. That made him stronger in his writing because he explained it better. Then he had the right reasons to know how to fight verbally in an excellent way so people could understand it better.
ReplyDeleteFrederick Douglass was not a quitter , He failed to escape from his cruel slave life twice before accomplishing to escape. That is remarkable because only few slaves could escape. He later became a great abolitionist leader. He wrote plenty of biographies about his slave life and mentioned the people he un-fortunately left behind. This man is admirable and certainly should be considered one of the eminent human rights activists in our country's history.
ReplyDeleteI think Frederick Douglass should be considered one of the eminent human rights activists in our country's history because his leadership, speechmaking and legendary power pushed him into the front position of the U.S. abolition movement, and he became the first black citizen to hold high rank in the U.S. government. Being an African American slave in the 1800s was very difficult, especially for Frederick Douglass who was separated from his mother at age 8, but this didn’t stop Douglass from becoming a significant person. He strongly supported the women's rights movement and fought for full civil rights for freedmen. Douglass became a mentor to President Abraham Lincoln, supporting that former slaves be equipped for the North and that the war be made a direct conflict against slavery. He also was appointed U.S. minister and consul general to Haiti. He will always be recognized as an admirable and inspirational person to many people.

I think Frederick Douglass should be considered a human rights activist because if he was not here for what he had done, slavery might still be happening today. Douglass is a very amazing man, he escaped slavery when he was only twenty and he protested on slavery. Douglass even protested on women rights. Douglass even made many books and stories in his time. If it was not for Frederick Douglass, the world would still have slavery.

I think Frederick Douglass should be considered one of the eminent human rights activists in our country's history, because of his extraordinary skills. Fredrick Douglass has several types of unique skills, but I would just like to point out two, reading and writing. At young age, Douglass learned how to read, and write, and this made a huge impact in his life. This lead Douglass into many major events in his life such as, making his own book, becoming Lincoln's mentor, and receiving a high ranking in the government, as America's first black citizen. Douglass made amazing lectures about slavery, and he shared his own thoughts and experiences on slavery. Douglass went from being a slave and into a successful bright man. He should be a role model for others. Even though, there were a numerous amount of obstacles in his way, that still did not stop Douglass from becoming a successful man.

I think that Frederick Douglass should be considered an eminent human rights activist for many reasons. First of all he is an escaped slave so he knows how cruel slavery can be. He was an extraordinary person who was more intelligent than most white people. If it wasnt for his autobiography, the united states would have been blind to the cruelty of slavery. He didn't fight for just African Americans, he fought for all people who were being mistreated. Douglass was a genuinely good human being.
ReplyDeleteFrederick Douglass should be considered one of America's eminent history activists because he did great things in the 1800's.For example, he was a consultant of Abraham Lincoln and told him that African American's would have the right to vote and other civil rights. He struggled in life, but didn't give up on his future. His master's wife taught him how to read, but his master told her to stop teaching him and became hostile. Douglass began working in the streets to earn money and save up to buy books. He was the first African American to be part of the government.Frederick Douglass escaped twice from slavery, but was caught and brought back to the plantation.Even though, Frederick Douglass was treated poorly he became successful in life.

I think Frederick Douglass should be considered to be an eminent human rights activists. One of the many things he had done was escaped twice from slavery and changed his name.Although,Frederick Douglass had been succecful in his life soon it got tough and was caught and sent back to slavery. These tasks that usually hadnt been done he was willing his own life to be free. ReplyDeleteFrederick Douglas should be considered to be an eminent human rights activists for a lot of reasons. First off he learned how to read on his own when people were trying to prevent him from learning. Also when he escaped from slavery he wrote his on story about his slave master where his location was and his real name he was very brave for doing that. Finally he made anti-slavery speeches to people and made some people change there minds about slavery.
ReplyDeleteI believe Frederick Douglass should be considered an eminent human rights activist because of the many great actions he took in the 1800's. Without him we may have still been completely shaded by slavery. The autobiography he wrote helped uncover the reality of slavery and really gave a firsthand look of how cruel it was. He supported anti-slavery and women's rights. Douglass suffered from being separated from his mother, and from knowing that his father was a white slaveholder. I think every step he took to support these movements encouraged and inspired the slaves to take a stand as well.

I believe that Fredrick Douglass should be considered an eminent human rights activist because of what he gas achieved in life. A slave knowing knowing how to read was something that slaves barley knew. Douglass planned his escape in 1836. When he did he wrote a book about his life being a slave. He did not change any names, so everyone knew his master's name and what he did. When Fredrick Douglass escaped and went to New York he had to change his name because of his book. Douglass learned how to read, he read in front of an audience, and also wrote a book. I believe that he should be considered an eminent human rights activist.

I consider Frederick Doulgass as an eminente human rights activests because he was a very intelegent and courages man. ReplyDeleteFredrick Douglass's inspiring speeches and beliefs that all human have a right to be free makes him an eminent human right activist. Douglass learned to read and write, showing that he was just as good-- even better-- as the masters who owned him. Douglass's book helped open the eyes of the ignorant people to slavery. He represented abolitionist, not only in America but international. He was threatened and yet he pushed on with his work.
ReplyDeleteFrederick Douglas should be a human rights activist because he escaped slavery when he was 20. This man was very significant in so many ways. To get out of slavery during his writing his own biography is outstanding. Some slaves wouldn't have the money to pay for their slavery bail. All they ever got paid in was food and clothes, but this man changed history. Frederick Douglas will forever be remembered.

I think Frederick Douglass should be considered one of the eminent human rights activists in our country's history. He should be because he proved that the color of your skin had nothing to do with intelligence and cleverness you have. He showed any black man could be if not smarter, just as smart as any white man. Having escaped from slavery and being able to share and express his experiences helped human rights and made his become part of the leaders that moved this group.

Our country's history has many civil human rights leaders. Fredrick Douglass is obviously one of these courageous leaders.Douglass was bored as a slave and somehow found his way learning literature. With this ability he understood things a lot more clearly. (Better than any other slave). Sooner or later he escape and started to speak out against slavery. After all his brave and hard work, he managed to get other slaves to try and do the same. All slaves would then rebel and finally get their freedom they deserve.
