Assignment # 6: 7th Grade

Task: Write a compound sentence using the following pairs of words for EACH sentence (HINT: not all words are from Unit 18, use pages 4,5 for guidance):

1.  aspire, ambition

  2. 1.I have the AMBITION to get a job and aspire in making money.

    2.My milk EXPIRED, so it had to become IMPERMANENT.

    3.My PERSERVATION in working hard in my education and basketball helped me get a scholarship and my mom was high SPIRITED.


    4.Amber is so EMACIATED she become HYPERVENTILATED when she see's a cute boy.

    5.Jewels ELONGATE her ORATION to loose some weight, but it just did not work out.

  6. 1. Throughout her life she ASPIRED to be a professional dance teacher, but her AMBITION wasn’t enough to become successful.

    2. When she went grocery shopping she bought her favorite candy but it EXPIRED soon, so she bought it kind of foolishly knowing it was IMPERMANENT.


    3. My friend’s little sister is very SPIRITED; when she gets older she will have a good quality PERSERVATION of her toddler years.

    4. She spent 2 weeks in a camp by herself for the first time, everyday she HYPERVENTILATED and was very EMANCITATED.


    5. The ORATION was very miniature, but since he was the head chief he had to explain it better so he had to ELONGATE it.

  7. My mother’s AMBITION is for me to become a track star. I ASPIRE to meet such a challenging goal.

    Our yogurt was EXPIRED so it became IMPERMANENT to our refrigerator.

    My mother's PRESERVATION was to save up money to move so that we can all live in a place and be high SPIRITED.

    Moriah was soo EMACIPATED that everytime she losed a basketball game she HYPERVENTILATED.

  8. 1) My ASPIRE is to become a professional soccer player,but its my ambition is to complete college first.

    2) The EXPIRED book borrowed from the library was IMPERMANENT, therefore the owner had to renew it.

    3) Unicef's PRESERVATION is to collect money for children that need, then those children can act SPIRITED.

    4) The EMACIATED senior citizen can't breathe very well, therefore he is HYPERVENTILATE.

    5) The presidents ORATION was ELONGATE because of his unwritten extension.

    2. My cousin's license plate expired after ten years because all plates are impermanent.

    3. As long as we kept the section of the museum open the crowds were happy.

    4. I make sure I always have a bag with me just in case if I have to hyperventilate because of seeing things such as an emanciated person in a hospital.

    3. The campaign of the preservation of the forest was doing good, but the spirited citizens wanted to support the campaign.

    4. The emaciated man badly wanted food, but by hyperventilating helps him from dying.

    5. The republican's oration was more spirited than the democrat's, so the host of people cheered for him.

    2. Our vacation at the Jersey Shore is impermanent this summer because of money problems; it will expire shortly.

    2) The supscription to XboxLive expired, it was impermanent becuase it was a 3month subscription.

    3) Mike was a very spirited man, he preserved that memory in his friends, when he expired.

    4) Thomas is very emaciated and may hyperventilate due to lack of food and water.

    2.) In the sixth grade my family bought a coupon book for twenty dollars and later on when we tried to use it, the cashier said the coupon EXPIRED. My family was in shock because we never knew the book was IMPERMANENT.

  27. 1. In order for him to aspire a goal he must have a lot of ambition in oreder to succeed his goal.

    2.The food was impermanent because it was able to expire and soon it had to be thrown away.

    3.When the lost people finally found a way home they looked emaciated and were hyperventilated because they hadn't eaten or drank anything.

    4.He wanted his oration to be perfect so he thought if he elongated it it could be better.
