Jennings experienced how horrible some kids are treated. Some nuns that worked in The Home of the Angels physically hurt Jennings and other kids made harsh comments of him and his friend Mark. Jennings had a difficult time at The Home of the Angels and probably feels abandoned from his mother.
Jennings experience at The Home of the Angels is to him like going into another world. At first Jenning didn't know what was happening until he met Mark. Jennings experience so far is un injoyful because he has been hit by sister Frances and also bullyed by other kides that he doesn't even know. He is also very scared because he thinks that his mom doesn't want him anymore so thats why she left him in The Home of Angels. He also has to learn the rules and what to do in the day but nobody would explain it to him Jhoy Saca
I think Jennings experienced how harsh life can be.I also think he experienced how unfortunate some kids can be.Some of the kids in that home never even knew they had parents , but now they're in a home where the lifers go to school and the part - timers play all day.Jennings also thinks that his mom is just sick but she might have really left him.while at the Home Of Angels , Jennings meets a boy named Mark and a girl named Stacey. He also gets into a fight with a bully in the home named Butch.after getting his black eye , Stacey tries to make him feel better by kissing it.I thought Jennings feels sad that when he was leaving , he did'nt get to say goodbye to any of his friends.
In the first chapter Jennings is at the Home of the Angels foster home. Is a whole new place for him. Jennings felt lonely because his mother left him there with nothing just himself and he was frightened that his mother doesn't want him anymore. He felt abandoned. when his mother left him he fell a sleep then a nun came to him, yelled a him because he is supposed to be in the bedroom ready for bed but Jennings was confused of why he was there anyway.By the time he had awaken a more gentle and kind nun was there ,he felt a little better but when he had to put his coat back Sister Frances came in and all was quiet. after entering some hallways they entered the cafeteria. Jennings got in trouble again with Sister Frances because he sat down in the chair when he isn't supposed to. After he came back they went to the day room and Jennings made only one friend Mark. Before he became friends with Mark he was made fun of the older boy in the foster home. Jennings only has one person to relie on Mark.
I think Jennings experienced that it was harsh living at the "Home of The Angels." He first didn't know what was going on & where he was , until he met Mark. Mark explained that it,s not so hard living there until you know the rules. At The begging He thinks his mom is going to come back looking for him but it turns out she left him there. He doesn't like sister France & has been hit by her.He hasn't eaten lunch or break fest because he did not follow the rules.
Jennings's experience was harsh. Sister France had phyiscally abused him a couple of times. He didn't know where he was until he met Mark. He learned a couple of rules that helped him, because once you know the rules, you know it's not that harsh. He felt unloved because this bully and Sister France treat him badly. Sister France didn't let Jennings eat breakfast or lunch because he didn't know the rules -Morelia Huaman
I think Jennings experience in "Home of The Angels"is harsh and cruel. Jennings first day there at the orphanage was harsh because the nun didn't understand that it was Jennings first day there at the orphanage. The nun hit Jennings for doing certain things wrong.I personally believe that she should show or explain how things are done there at the orphanage. The second day at the orphanage for Jennings was better. He made a new friend named Mark. Mark showed Jennings how things were done at the orphanage.Mark try to explain some of the rules to Jennings to make it easier for him in the orphanage. Some of the rules. For example, no one are allowed to be friends in the orphanage. Jennings experience in "The Home of the Angels" is not great so far. -Bianca Arellano:)
Jennings experience was horrible because his mom left in a foster home and Sister France hurt him. He felt petrified because he thought that they were going to hurt him. Some kids were bullying him. He was crying because his mom left him and his mom lied to him. Jennings felt nervous, sad, and lonely while at the Home of the Angels. Thalia Huaman
In chapter one jennings experience was cruel and had some good things happening. His first bad thing Was he was put in a foster home called Home of the angels. When Jennings didnt know what to do Sister frances scoldes and hits jennings if he does something wrong. The good thing is he finds a good freind named mark. These are some good and bad news about jennings. when jennings arrived at the home of the angels he didnt know what was going on one of the nuns explained to him that his mother needed rest and she will be back soon. jennings was sad but he felt a little bit better when he went to sleep with his stuffed teddy bear doggie
To me Jennings' experience was sad because he just found out that his mother for some reason left him at at a home for girls and boys who don't have any family. And to top that he gets bullied by some older kids who are just mean.
Jenning's experience with the angels was horrible in the book. Jenning's experience was horrible because the nuns treated him bad and people made of him. Few reasons why Jenning's experience was bad was because the nuns hit him and took away his stuffed animal. Also, children made fun of him because they think Jenning is a girl's name so they called him Jenny.
Jenning's experience in the Home of the angels has been bad snice the first day because he thinks his mom was comeing back but she was too sick to take care of him and she had no choice he was slap by sister frances for not doing the right thing. Jenning was geting bullied by Butch he was geting named a girl and jenny he found a boy named mark and his number is nine. He starts to play with him and become like friend mark tell jenning the rules of The home of angels and tell him to ignorg Butch becuse he only want's someone to fight with. -Jordi Garcia

I think that the experience that Jennings had in the "house of The Angels" makes him petrified. It makes him petrified because Sister Frances hit him in the face and the harsh part is that his mother left him and she said she would be right back1 Then, Jennings met a guy named Mark they would play checkers and other games. Mark would tell Jennings to do and not to do. Thats what I think Jennings experienced! -Samantha Mendez

Jennings' experience at The Home of the Angels was a difficult one because he was new and did know all the rules. For example, when he was brushing his teeth he did not do it correctly and Sister Frances slapped him in the face. Also, when he attempted to sit down for lunch before the nun pressed the "clicker", he was taken out of the lunch room and not given any food. His experience was petrifying for such a young boy.
Jennings' experience was difficult because he did not where he was or what to expect at the orphanage. He kept thinking his mother would come back for him, but he soon realized that he was going to stay there alone. He was also bullied by a boy named Butch who teased him about his name and called him a "girl." Jennings felt crestfallen and alone...luckily he met a friend named Mark and another friend named Stacey.
Jennings made two new friends at The Home of the Angels. These two friends made his time fun at times despite the cruel things that happened to him. For example, when Sister Frances smacked him for opening his toothbrush with his teeth - it shocked him. She did not know how to communicate to him with words, and show very little patience. One of his friends, Mark, was able to help him understand the rules and this made his life much easier.
In the beginning, at the Home of the Angels, he thought he was just staying there for a few hours until his mother came back to pick him up. However, he soon realized that he was staying until his mother was feeling better. Luckily, Jennings became friends with Mark and Stacey. Mark helped him understand the rules and became his best friend. Stacey would talk to him and distract him with her optimism. He needed his friends to help him get through the tough times especially with the bullies and abusive nuns.
In the beginning of the story when Jennings went to the Home Of The Angels some of the nuns were harsh like sister Frances. sister Frances pulled Jennings by the ear and slapped him.some of the nuns like sister Clair who gave the kids stuffed animals.later on when Jennings came back from the carpenters and how they treated him the nuns became more nice to him.like when sister Clair gave Jennings a note praying for him and letting Jennings have Doggie for a little longer.Bunch became friends with Jennings and Jennings told story's to everyone
Jenings experience in the home of the angels was not that bad and not that good. Jennings had sadly suffered through losing his best friend Doggie, bullied, abused by Sister Frances, and most importantly he was left there by his MOM! On the other hand, he got Doggie back by his favorite nun Sister Clair and most importantly he met Marc, Stacey and last but not least Butch.
Jennings's experience in the Home Of The Angels was terrible at first for him because he just wanted to go home. But when he met a life long orphan named Mark, they start to mingle and hang out and soon wantd to kind of stay. Jennings met two people and a stuffed animal named Butch, Stacey and Doggie. Butch was a bully that bothered almost every kid in the home. Stacey was a chatty girl that thinks shes here in a + way. Doggie was a stuffed animal that helped Jennings think about hope to go home. After a while, a couple named the Carpenters let him in for a few "tourturous" days. They fed him "Carpenter glue glop",was beaten by Mrs. Carpenter and was kept in the dark and was kept in a dark room. Because of the multiple beatings Jennings took, Mr. Carpenter decided to deposit Jennings back into the home. For a few months, Jennings stayed in the Home, Mark and Doggie was back. Thanks to Sister Clair, She let Jennings keep Doggie. Butch was no longer a bully and Stacey was reunited with her parents.
Jennings experience was unpleasent he got bullied and beat. He made 2 friends named mark and doggie. He met a girl named stacey and she kissed him. He stood up for mark and made butch not as obnoxious. After a while jennings mom picked him up.
Jennings' experience at the "Home of The Angels" was challenging for him. He didn't have very many friends, he was not treated well, and he was scared. All he wanted was to see his mom and go back home. One of his friends, Mark, helped him get through the tough times. Doggie, Jennings' stuffed dog, always seemed to make things better for Jennings as well. Sister Clair was there at times when Jennings needed to be comforted. Butch, a kid who used to bully him, ended up becoming his friend, after an incident between him and Jennings. Although he had things along the way to help him, he still only wanted to reunite with his family. It was hard leaving the very few friends he had there, since he had been so close to them, but he went on.
Jennings' experience at the Home of the Angels was cruel. He did not expect the abuse from Sister Frances or the Carpenters when he stayed at their house. He was scared and felt unwanted. He did not feel like he was a part of his family anymore and felt disrespected. The betrayal of his mother dropping him off and lying to him hurt him...he was depressed. Luckily he became friends with Mark and Stacey.
Jennings has a pretty bad time at the Home of the angels. It was pretty new for him so he felt miserable until Mark showed up. Mark showed Jennings how to fit in with the rest of the kids and helped him make it through the orphanage. Jennings Stacey also helped him with making it through and all three of them became life long friends
At first, Jennings' experience at the Home of The Angels was pretty terrible. Not only was he confused about his mother and what was happening with his life, but he was put into a home with not a single clue of what was going on. As the time elapsed, he had found comfort in a friend. Mark had "bent the rules" and found happiness in a friend as well.
Being sent to the Home of the Angels was a horrible experience that Jennings went through. He had absolutely no clue what was happening and why he was there. All he knew was that he was a part-timer and not everyone else there was. He became friends with a kid around his age named Mark. He was constantly bullied by the toughest kid there named Butch and pushed around by Sister Frances. Mark showed him how to ignore people you didnt want to think about. Jennings affected these people later on. Butch started to become friends with him and Sister Frances stopped treating him with disrespect.
Jennings had some goog and not so good times in the home of the angels. some of the good times that Jenning had at the home of the angels were that he fund two new friends thier names were mark and stacy. but in the oder hand he also had some enemies and that was the diggest kid that live in the home of the angels he was picking on mark so wanted to defend him so jennings hit him in the face and started a fight.
Jenning's expierience at the Home of the Angels was terrible. First off there was Butch, second the nuns practically beat him down, and third he barely made friends, until he met mark. He sared off bad with the numbers and the brushing your teeth but then when he met mark everything was smooth from there. -Jason.B
TO me Jennnings' expriene was very painful and crule.THe reason i said that is becuse is well he taken in the care of the carpenters, who may seem to be nice but when the doors are closed, all you can hear is cursing, talk about money and beatings(most of wich was being done to Jennings by Mrs.Carpenter,i dont know where she got her motherly instic from.)then having to go back to that home was the most scary part to him,but thats what her thought.-Joi Tynes
Jennings experience at the Home of the Angels was horrible. He experienced so much at the Home of the Angles he is scarred with that part of his life forever. The nuns treated him worst then how anybody has treated him. He was put in some foster homes that treated him like he never expected to be treated. He had starved, he had been hit and he had been left alone sometimes. That is alot for an eight-year old to experience. If it wasn't for the friend he made Mark and Doggie I don't think Jennings would have survived there.
Jennings' experience at the Home of the Angels was horrible at first. It took him a while to learn all of the rules and get comfortable. He was told "not" to make any friends because they leave and he would feel CRESTFALLEN. Sadly, he was hit a few times by the nun in charge, Sister Frances. Luckily, Sister Claire was working there and she showed him some love and compassion.
Jennings time at the Home of the Angles was terible. Butch was the bully to everbody. Mark was a good friend of Jennings. Mark didnt want to be his friend because he might leave and never come back.
Jennings experience in the Home of the Angles was terrible because he was abused. The sister Frances was mean and she hit Jennings. Sister Clare was nice to Jennings and let them play with the stuffed animals.
When Jennings's mom left him at the Home Of Angles he thought that his mom was going to come back for him but she didn't.Sister Frances was one of the nuns and she was one of the mean ones, she hit Jennings. Jennings experience was tough till me met mark.Mark and Jennings started off with a rough start, but then they became friends.
Jennings' experience was difficult because he did not know he was being dropped off by his mom. He felt nervous about being all alone. The nuns were rude and abused him - one pulled him by his shirt and even smacked him. Luckily, he met Mark who showed him around and taught him the rules about what to do and what NOT to do. This made the stay a little bit easier. He told Jennings to ignore the bullies and not to let them "get" to you.
Jennings experienced how horrible some kids are treated. Some nuns that worked in The Home of the Angels physically hurt Jennings and other kids made harsh comments of him and his friend Mark. Jennings had a difficult time at The Home of the Angels and probably feels abandoned from his mother.

ReplyDeleteJennings had some goog and not so good times in the home of the angels. some of the good times that Jenning had at the home of the angels were that he fund two new friends thier names were mark and stacy. but in the oder hand he also had some enemies and that was the diggest kid that live in the home of the angels he was picking on mark so wanted to defend him so jennings hit him in the face and started a fight.
ReplyDeleteJenning's expierience at the Home of the Angels was terrible. First off there was Butch, second the nuns practically beat him down, and third he barely made friends, until he met mark. He sared off bad with the numbers and the brushing your teeth but then when he met mark everything was smooth from there.

ReplyDeleteJennings experience at the Home of the Angels was horrible.
ReplyDeleteJennings' experience at the Home of the Angels was horrible at first.
ReplyDeleteJennings time at the Home of the Angles was terible. Butch was the bully to everbody. Mark was a good friend of Jennings. Mark didnt want to be his friend because he might leave and never come back.
ReplyDeleteJennings experience in the Home of the Angles was terrible because he was abused. The sister Frances was mean and she hit Jennings. Sister Clare was nice to Jennings and let them play with the stuffed animals.
ReplyDeleteWhen Jennings's mom left him at the Home Of Angles he thought that his mom was going to come back for him but she didn't.Sister Frances was one of the nuns and she was one of the mean ones, she hit Jennings. Jennings experience was tough till me met mark.Mark and Jennings started off with a rough start, but then they became friends.
ReplyDeleteJennings' experience was difficult because he did not know he was being dropped off by his mom.
